THINGS TO TRY WHEN YOU’RE BORED

1. INTERESTS

You can do something that you enjoy, such as watching tv, reading a book, listening to music, watching a movie, or playing a game

2. HANG OUT

If you have friends, then see if anyone wants to hang out. Go out with them  for coffee, or go shopping, or even just hang out and chat

3. INTERNET

Surf the web, maybe learn something new or watch videos on YouTube read the news, or look up jokes

4. HOBBIES

What do you love to do? Go do it! May you love to be outdoors, or write poetry, or make videos on YouTube. Whatever it is, go do it

5. IMAGINATION

Use your own mind to escape boredom. Imagine a story, look around and see things differently, think things you never dared to think before. The only limits to your imagination are the ones you make

6. REPLAY

Look back on your past, your mistakes and your triumphs, and see what lessons you learned and if there is anything new to learn from your past. Our history may not be who we are anymore, but it is still a valuable part of us that we can use to become a better person 

7. PLANNING

Look at your life right now and see where you’re going, and if that’s where you want to be. If not, set new goals, or make the appropriate changes to get your life back on track for success. Plan your future, but at the same time, make sure its flexible
enough that when life hits, you don’t fall down. And if you make a mistake, just get back up and try again

8. PAPER

Paper is a blank slate that you can fill with the wonders of your mind. Maybe you can draw a picture, or write a song, or even poetry and short stories. Perhaps you would rather fill the space with carefully thought out plans, or a check list of what you
should do. The paper is yours, and like the future, what it becomes is up to you

9. NEW PEOPLE

Go out and meet new people. Go to a public place and try to make a new friend. If it doesn’t work out with one person, try again

10. HEALTH

Take a look at your health. Are you the weight you want to be at? What foods are you eating? Maybe you’re not as fit or as strong as you want to be. Perhaps you can change something in your life to fix this, like joining a gym
or making your own food instead of eating out. Maybe eating less or more is what you need to do. (WARNING: Before making certain changes, it may be best to consult your doctor) 

11. APPS

It may be time to look for new apps if you have a smartphone. There are tons of games, as well as other kinds of apps, that you can buy or try for free

12. GAMES

Another option is to try a new game, especially if you can do it with a friend. Try something silly, or test your intelligence with trivia. Get a whole group of friends and play Apples to Apples. Let the games begin!

13. EXERCISE

Get out and get your heart pumping. Exercise has proven again and again to fight depression, so it can certainly send boredom running. You can try running a few miles, or something calm like yoga. Just make sure to pace
yourself and stretch beforehan

14. COOKING

Blow the dust off your old cookbook or look online for fun recipes to try, then get in the kitchen and make something. This can be very fun and rewarding. Make something for just yourself, or even for your significant other or friends.

15. MUSIC

Stay home or go out, either way you can play some music and dance like crazy or sing along. This is another activity you can do alone or with people Perhaps you can even play music while cleaning. Music can brighten any day or make anything fun
